Water Chemical Engineer
Job Details
Purpose of Role
As a Water Chemical Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, developing, and improving our evaporative cooling products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, R&D, manufacturing, and marketing, to apply products to customer requirements and bring new and enhanced products to market. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in water system for HVAC applications, a passion for innovation, and a proven track record of successful product testing and improvement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Support internal and external customers as the technical authority of water chemistry for evaporative cooling products

Complete evaporative media scaling calculations using water modeling tools

Support product troubleshooting and failure investigation
-
Support technical product documentation such as SDS and technical performance specifications
-
Manage internal product testing program including chemical compatibility and pilot unit testing
-
Independently manage product testing and improvement projects
-
Review/analyze data gathered from installed equipment in order to make product improvements
-
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products to drive innovation in product development

Adhere to Condair’s Corporate and Health & Safety Policies, office procedures, and the Quality Assurance system/policies

Other duties as assigned by Management

Up to 15% travel (domestic and international) is required. Additional travel may be required during the initial few months for training

Professional Skills, Qualifications, and Competencies:
-
Education and Experience:
-
Degree in Chemical Engineering
-
Minimum three years of experience
-
Strong knowledge of water chemical, water treatment chemicals, water treatment equipment. Experience with evaporative cooling.

An asset but not required:
-
Experience with evaporative cooling systems and AHU system design
-
Experience working in an ISO 9001 organization
-

Language Skills: Strong written and spoken English

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office
-
Other: Proven ability to work in the United States and the ability to travel internationally as required
