Quality Manager
Job Details
Purpose of Role:
Maintain quality management system (QMS) to meet goals and objectives of the organization. Responsible for the design (local) and implementation of policies (group and local) and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met during production. Support establishment and expansion of ISO certifications and required obligations. Plan, direct, and coordinate quality assurance and internal audit programs, action plans, and formulate quality control policies to continuously improve product quality, reduce defects & warranty claims, improve efficiency, drive profitably, and enhance customers satisfaction.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Establishment and support of local ISO certification / support group ISO certification

Support adherence to ISO requirements for document control.

Implementation and monitoring of QMS compliance following Group policies
-
Support of adherence to all regulatory and certification standards
-
Understand, comply, and improve established company policies and procedures.
-
Implementation of quantitative data analysis related to quality
-
Approval of departmental procedures
-
Manage Corrective Action, NCR, process improvement, and auditing project implementation.
-
Implement and maintain customer complaint, warranty case management following Group policies and procedures, and support problem solving system.
-
Develop a robust Supplier Quality program through regular audits, PPAP utilization and performance management in coordination with Group functions.
-
Collaborate with the Supervisors and Managers on the development & training on facility procedures, work instructions, and Quality & HSE requirements.

Manage the calibration program for Manufacturing and Quality Lab Measuring and Test Equipment
-
Audit planning and coordination/ facilitate all internal, third party and supplier audits.
-
Lead quarterly Quality review meetings.

Support all Quality related KPI tracking and reporting
-
Quality reporting to the Group
-
Oversite of QA lab activities
-
Support of Trials and Research and Development projects
-
Travel to Canada and potentially overseas as needed
-
Perform other duties as assigned.​​

Professional Skills, Qualifications, and Competencies:
Education and Experience
-
Bachelors in related field, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Technology degrees preferred
-
7+ years of QA leadership experience in Manufacturing required
Communication Skills

Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing to all levels within the organization, with customers, & external agencies
-
Presentation skills enabling effective demonstration of concepts, findings and recommendations to management, customers, external agencies, and auditors

Certificates/Licenses

ASQ, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Lead Auditor Training certifications a plus however, knowledge of these systems is a requirement
